THE TODAY SHOW's first "classic"cast was headed by the studious Dave Garroway, amiable Jack Lescoulie and anchorman Frank Blair. The wild card in the bunch, was, of course, J. Fred Muggs, a young chimpanzee. Oddly enough, as of this writing, Muggs is the only one in this photo still extant, living in Florida at the age of 61!
